Extremely deadly usability

Sometimes nature really gets it right. By “right”, I mean effective. Really effective. Take a look at one of the most beautiful and most effective carnivores on the planet… the mantis shrimp. The picture below shows what we can see of it…. but we can only see combinations of 3 colors (red, blue, green). The mantis shrimp can see combinations of 12 colors! That means red, blue, green, and 9 others we can’t even imagine!

It sounds beautiful, but this creature is anything but gentle. Its two front appendages can accelerate at the same rate as a gunshot from a 22-caliber rifle, and can break aquarium glass. How does usability testing relate to this? The military is studying the cell structure of this creature towards the development of body armor for combat troops!

Beautiful and extremely dangerous – very effective though!
